Day 27: Natural instincts

Today we arrived in Victoria’s best kept secret Wilsons promotory. Just a few hours from Melbourne is the magnificent national park with outstanding coastline, scenic mountains and native flora and fauna. There is only one Caravan park which accommodates all visitors with holiday periods requiring application by special ballot. We spent the afternoon exploring Squeaky beach with sand whiter than we have ever seen and then the kids constructed a cubby at another unspoilt picnic beach. The fisher pair (Tim and Chloe) set off after dinner and didn’t arrive back till after dark from yet another fishing adventure.
